This tune made the cut for my wedding hymnody, in the form of “Guide Me O, Thou Great Jehovah.” It’s also set to “God of Grace and God of Glory”, this Sunday’s closing hymn at Christ Church Cathedral. Most resources are in G Major unless otherwise noted.

William McNair of hymnsfororgan.org has a nice introduction for this tune. I usually start at measure 9, abbreviating it, since the congregation is very familiar with this hymn.

I’m a Rawsthorne girl for this one. It’s just good.

I haven’t seen many interludes for this piece – Clay Christiansen writes an interlude and reharmonization. I’ll be using the former.

This is certainly an arrangement I’d consider in the future. It is self-described as “Some crunchy (but not too crunchy!) dissonance in the last line will for sure drive home the praise text.”

Another one I’ll learn some day. Trill-heavy and big ending!

I own this one – would probably break it out if I had a trumpet player for the day.

For those needing an F major resource.
As always, there’s too many to list. Let me know if you have any must-list arrangements. Happy playing!
