Old 100th holds the title of the *only* “service music” sung in my childhood Baptist church, as the doxology. Here are some options to spice it up as a full hymn.
Elizabeth’s Choice(s):
Reharmonization: For the average Sunday, my personal choice for a reharmonization is the Rawsthorne 200 Last Verses. It’s just classic.

It’s available on Amazon as well.
Introduction: Robert Lau has a toccata that can be utilized as an introduction – it is a tad long for my church as an introduction, so I’ll be making a cut from the first to last page. Love this piece.

For the ambitious/those with a trumpet player (Excerptible Intro, Reharmonizations, Descants, and Interludes)
The whole kit and caboodle! We used this Ralph Vaughan William’s arrangement for our Bicentennial Celebration – it is unmatched and I certainly recommend the entire arrangement. The introduction could certainly be used with any arrangement. Here’s a pdf I found.

Sean Jackson (Reharmonization)
I don’t see a preview for this and can’t speak to it as a work, but have enjoyed a couple of Sean Jackson’s compositions.

Creative Use of the Organ in Worship (Modulations, Interludes, Reharmonizations)
A massive resource for those going straight from a hymn into the doxology. It contains reharmonizations as well. I like that both a physical and PDF copy is available.

Robert Hobby (Introduction, Reharmonization, Descant)
I am considering purchasing this just for the Reharmonization on verse 3. A nice job by Robert Hobby as always.
